Erasing Treatment, Test, and Doctor’s Visit Anxiety

If I had to put a number on it, I would say that at least 85% of my patients and clients have had anxiety around getting medical tests run, going to see the doctor, and/or trying new treatments.

BUT, I have also freed a lot of people from that very anxiety, and they now attend to their healthcare like it's no big deal.  Yep! That's real.  I've also freed people from needle phobias, life-long white coat syndrome, surgical PTSD, fears around getting colonoscopies, surgeries, and more.

Usually these issues come from either our own trauma with the medical system, doctors, getting testing done, getting test results, or taking treatments.  Basically anytime those didn't go well, and it caused a negative emotional experience for you, that experience was tagged as a threat by your brain.  Then, going forward, if it sees a similar context in your life, it's going to start a survival response to try to "protect you" from the danger.

Yes, medical tests and treatments can be dangerous, but the majority of the time they're not, and your brain just needs help clarifying that.  Just telling yourself that like an affirmation isn't going to work since the survival programming that needs to change is on a subconscious level, but it can be changed, and it's really not hard!  You can even do it on your own with the help of effective processes (such as what's in the Wired for Wellness program).

If this is your struggle, please don't wait to rewire this!  Many of my clients with these issues will put off treatment they desperately need to get well because it feels too scary, but in doing so, their health tanks even further.  It's also the case that you never know when you might need to do something medically that makes you really scared or uncomfortable (like an ER visit), but you can prepare your brain to handle that with calm and ease with a little up front effort.

I had a lot of medical trauma myself so I can tell you from experience, you don't have to carry it for the rest of your life!
