Blue Light Blocking Glasses
I am a HUGE fan of avoiding blue light exposure at night. The studies support that blue light exposure after dark suppresses melatonin production, so you’re likely to have sleep trouble.
Normal LED lightbulbs you have in your house and all devices with screens (TV, cellphone, tablet, computer) emit a substantial amount of blue light, enough to suppress melatonin and disturb sleep.
I use a no-blue light after dark policy, and it has REALLY helped my sleep, but if that’s too intense for you, I would at least avoid blue light after 8pm.
To make it so that I can be around normal lights and devices at night, I have some trusty blue light-blocking glasses.
This is my favorite, affordable bundle of blue-light blocking glasses. No, they’re not stylish, but the wrap-around style is best for blocking light coming at your face from all angles.
These particular glasses have been tested by a military-grade optics lab to verify that they block blue light in the spectrum needed to preserve melatonin production.
So what’s in the bundle:
A daytime pair of glasses for blue light screen protection
A darker orange color for early evening protection
A green color for full-blue light blocking for nighttime
