Xylitol
Did you know that when mold, candida, parasites, or pathogenic bacteria are growing in our body, they’re almost always growing inside a protective little castle called a biofilm? These biofilms prevent antimicrobials from work, and even our immune systems from being able to get rid of the overgrowth or infection.
Anytime I need to do an anti-microbial protocol whether it’s to eradicate fungal colonization, parasites, or bacterial overgrowth, I always add biofilm disruptors. Otherwise, treatment often doesn’t work.
Xylitol is one such biofilm disruptor. That’s why it’s included in every toothpaste and gum for dental health that you can find these days. It can also be taken orally for digestive biofilms.
I often combine it with several other biofilm disruptors which all have different mechanisms of action for the best outcome.
Typical dosing is 1/2 tsp. twice daily away from food.
